What’s next for the GOP on immigration?
Breitbart News announced on Friday that it will launch a new website with a focus on immigration reform, calling it the “Respect the Border, Respect the Immigration System” (RBISS).
Breitbart News is calling the site TheRespecttheBorder.
The site is the result of a yearlong process that included interviews with immigration advocates and policy experts, as well as research on how to reform the nation’s broken immigration system.
“Our goal is to create a platform that provides the voices of the American people to the president and Congress, and that also gives Americans a clear, concise, and engaging way to advocate for reform of the immigration system,” Breitbart News President Stephen Bannon said in a statement announcing the new website.
“We’re making the most of the time and energy we have to bring together our communities in the hope that together we can deliver real change that helps keep families together,” Bannon said.
The new site will be launched on February 16, the day after the presidential election, with the first video interviews with the advocates, immigration reform advocates, and policymakers.
The project will also include a section dedicated to immigration reform with a “Congressional Watch List,” Breitbart reported.
Breitbart News reported in April that it had approached the House of Representatives to launch the website, but it had been “uncomfortable” to discuss the project at that point.
In an interview with The Huffington Post, Bannon said he had concerns about the site’s structure and structure, saying it was too complicated.
“You have a whole bunch of different sites, and I don’t want to just say it’s a bunch of people writing these things,” Bannon told HuffPost.
“I think that we have a problem with the way it’s structured.
There’s a lot of people who can’t do it.”
Bannon’s announcement came after Breitbart News founder Stephen Bannon left his position as the CEO of Breitbart News in April.
He said he wanted to work on other projects and was considering leaving Breitbart News.
He also criticized President Donald Trump’s executive order that temporarily halted the flow of immigrants and refugees into the U.S. from seven Muslim-majority countries.
The order has since been blocked by the courts.
