Why Trump is running for reelection
Donald Trump is seeking reelection in 2020 and a new report suggests that he is running with the support of a large number of people.
The Hill’s Adam Housley reports that Trump’s campaign has spent about $12 million on ads targeting vulnerable Republican voters.
According to a new poll from The Public Religion Research Institute, just 1 in 10 Republican voters say they would vote for Trump in 2020.
But that is enough to give him a substantial advantage.
Trump has about 60 percent support among Republicans, according to the poll.
That’s enough to win the Republican nomination for president by about three percentage points.
The Republican Party is a big tent and Trump is tapping into it, according the pollster.
And the party is divided.
The GOP is divided and its voters are not happy with the direction it is taking.
